Wildlife-vehicle collision risk index (WVCRI) is calculated by the number of accidents happened/km section between 2006 and 2010 and by the weight of the killed animals Published version of Wildlife-Vehicle Collision Conflict Map was compiled from the database of the State Motorway Management Co. Ltd. by the Eötvös University Road Ecological Workgroup. Actually the map consists the locations of fox, otter, roe deer, wild boar, red deer fatalities happened between 2006 and 2010. Collisions with these species are the most frequent and important considering public safety and nature conservation.
Clicking on the sections information can be found on the species of the killed animals.
The map was published with informative purposes. It could be used for other intention only with the permission of authors.
